“You throw together the things you love. Sweet things, tart things, chocolate, blueberries... You mix them all together. You shape them precisely and you put them in the oven, safe and warm. Then you wait as they change and grow into something delicious, something you crave.” —Rose, Mason Wright is Not a Mother
It’s lovely to meet you!
I am a young, multi-passionate artist originally from Staten Island, NY. Recently, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Fredonia where I studied Musical Theater as well as Creative Writing. Writing and performance have been longtime vocations for me. Whether I was creating mystical lands for my brothers and I to play in, or hosting living room concerts for my grandparents, I have always used my voice to bring joy to those who’ll listen.
In my time at Fredonia, I took it upon myself to pursue multiple professional performance opportunities as well as carving out a path for independent studies in playwriting. My original play Mason Wright is Not a Mother made history by being the first full length student written play to appear on SUNY Fredonia’s MainStage season. The play’s run concluded with a sold out limited engagement at the Alleyway Theater in Buffalo, NY.
I hope that through the work I creates, even if in my own little way, will make good onto the world of today.
I absolutely can’t wait to meet you!
